A meeting with the Syro-Malabar Community will be held on Sunday, 24 September, at 6.30 at St Jude Church

I invite you all to come to St Jude’s and meet the community in relation to the proposal to use the church and former presbytery.

Father Michael will be away from 27 September to 25 October

Masses will be held at the usual time on Wednesday, Thursday, the Saturday Vigil and Sunday. For all other Mass times, Communion Services will be held instead.

 

Don’t forget that Daylight Saving starts on Sunday, 1 October

Put your clocks forward by one hour or else you’ll arrive at Mass to see everyone leaving!

 

Forgiven, Fed and Fearless! Our Parish Sacramental Programmes for 2024 are now open for registrations

All three Sacramental Programmes have been launched and we've received our first registrations. Invitations for families at St Edmund's and Marist will go out shortly.

First Reconciliation is available to baptised Catholic children who will be in Year 3 or up in 2024.

First Eucharist is available to baptised Catholic children who have received First Reconciliation and will be in Year 4 or up in 2024. 

Confirmation is available to baptised Catholic children who have receive First Reconciliation and First Eucharist and will be in Year 6 or up in 2024.

If you have a family member who's eligible for their Sacrament, or you have friends with an eligible child, please let them know that registration is open. Be a messenger and carry the news!

 

God’s Word 2024 is now available for collection

If you ordered a copy, it’s available from the sacristy at the church you nominated in the order.

 

The Marian Procession will be held on Sunday, 22 October, at the Goulburn Cathedral

The gathering starts at 10am and will bring our Catholic community together to honour our Blessed Mother and seek her intercession for our needs. It’s a multicultural family day of prayer and celebration.

 

“The Sign” Advent and Christmas Reflections

The parish will be offering this publication from the Wollongong Diocese for $5. Order your copy through Qkr! or put $5 in an envelope, with your name and the church from which you want to collect it, and put the envelope into a collection bag.

Our parishioner Jenny Isbel is leading a guided tour of St Peter and St Paul's Cathedral in Goulburn on Monday, 2 October, at 11am. You'll enjoy seeing a beautiful building, explained by an expert guide.

Forgiven, Fed and Fearless! Welcome to our Parish Sacramental Programmes for 2024

All three Sacramental Programmes were launched last week. Families at St John Vianney School, St Jude School and the School of Religion have been invited to register for their Sacraments, and we've already received our first registrations. Invitations for families at St Edmund's and Marist will go out shortly.

The Vinnies Ozanam Appeal will be held on 16-17 September

The appeal supports our Indonesian Partner Conferences in their work for the poor. Collectors will be present after the weekend Masses. Our parish Vinnies thank you for your help.

Overnight Adoration, 30 September and 1 October at St John Vianney church

I invite you to spend time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament in the Adoration Chapel on Saturday or Sunday, 30 September or 1 October. The chapel is our special way to come before Our Lord and worship Him. Be with Him as He is always with us!
