Let us pray for our children and families who are preparing for First Holy Communion

Hello from Father Michael and the Parish Team.

In the Body and Blood of Christ, we find his presence, his life given for each of us. He not only gives us help to go forward, but he gives us himself: he enters into our affairs, he visits us when we are lonely, giving us back a sense of enthusiasm.

First Holy Communion, 25 and 26 June

The children of the Parish will receive First Holy Communion at Saturday's 5pm Mass at St Jude Church and Sunday's 9am Mass at St John Vianney Church. Some seating will be reserved for the families but there will still be plenty of room to come to Mass and support the children in their sacramental journey.

Ordination of Reverend Eden Langlands

Rejoice and give thanks to God that the Archdiocese will have a new priest this Friday!

Father Eden will be ordained at the Cathedral at 5pm. There will also be a Mass of Thanksgiving at the Cathedral on Saturday, 25 June, at 9am. If you can't be there to share in the celebrations, please pray for him as he walks in the Lord's footsteps.

Confirmation Program enrolments

Enrolments will open on 25 July for Catholic children in Year 6 and up. You'll find all of the details in the Confirmation in the Parish tab above.

Family Festival, Sunday 26 June at the Cathedral

To celebrate the World Meeting of Families in Rome, the Archbishop invites you to a Family Festival at the Cathedral:

  • Mass at 11am
  • Lunch at 12pm
  • Family Expo and Workshops from 12pm until 2pm.

St Vincent de Paul Society Winter Appeal

Father Michael would like to thank everyone who has donated to the Appeal, the Appeal organisers, and the volunteers who have staffed the collection table at Cooleman Court. We all know that these are very difficult times for so many people among us, and your generosity will make a crucial difference.

Liturgical banners for our churches

Father Michael would like to hear from anyone who may be able to help him with the design and making of liturgical banners for our Parish churches. If you can help, please see him after the 9.30am Thursday Mass at St Jude Church or contach the parish office.
