On Seafarers' Sunday (and all year), remember and pray for seafarers, their loved ones, and everyone connected with maritime work

Hello from Father Michael and the Parish Team.

During difficult moments, let us not close in on ourselves, shutting Jesus out. Let us seek Jesus, return to him, to his forgiveness, to those wounds that have healed us. In this way, we too will become capable of compassion, of approaching the wounds of others.

The Stella Maris ministry

Stella Maris is the maritime ministry of the Catholic Church. Its chaplains and managers give help and pastoral care to seafarers, fishers and other maritime workers across Australia. In these times when maritime work is more hazardous, stressed and oppressed than ever, agencies like Stella Maris give back for all the benefits we have received in our lifestyle from international sea trade.

Our 2022-23 Planned Giving Scheme

Supporting our Parish and our Church is an act of generous discipleship. It isn't just paying for a service, as if God were something to be priced and bought in the marketplace: it's a commitment to being God's followers and honouring Him by what we choose to share.

The Parish and the Archdiocese rely on our support for their existence. A regular and reliable income underpins everything from having priests and church buildings to welfare programs (such as Stella Maris) and evangelisation. Everything about the Archdiocese depends on your help.

If you're already part of our Planned Giving, thank you. If you aren't, please consider joining your fellow parishioners in keeping our mission alive and active. To join the program, please contact the Parish Office.

Confirmation Program enrolments

Enrolments will open on 25 July for Catholic children in Year 6 and up. You'll find all of the details in the Confirmation in the Parish tab above.
