We celebrate the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis' Pontificate.

Hello from Father Michael, Deacon Vince Barclay, Sister Kathleen Keenan and the Parish Office

Is your faith tired? Do you want to reinvigorate it? Look for God’s gaze: sit in adoration, allow yourself to be forgiven in Confession, stand before the Crucified One. In short, let him love you.

The telephone line for the Presbytery IS WORKING AGAIN!

The wait is over and we thank you all for your patience. Once again, you'll find Marianne, our Parish Secretary, on 6288 1979 during office hours.

Stations of the Cross during Lent

Our journey with the crucified Christ in the Stations alternates between St John Vianney Church and St Jude Church on Fridays, always starting at 7.30pm:

24 March: St John Vianney Church.

31 March: St Jude Church.

"Triumph": the Lenten discussion programme

Sister Kathleen is leading our discussion group at 3pm each Thursday in the downstairs meeting room of the presbytery. All parishioners are welcome, even if you haven't attended so far.

Overnight Adoration in the Chapel, Saturday 1 April

Adoration will start at 9pm in the chapel of St John Vianney Church and conclude at 8am on Sunday. Father Michael invites you to put your name on the roster (which is in the foyer of both churches) and spend some quiet time before the Blessed Sacrament.

Father Michael will be on sabbatical from March to June

Father Michael will be away until 13 June. Father Baiju Thomas MGL, Father Rembert Thomas MGL and Father Chris Eaton MGL from Narrabundah Parish have very kindly agreed to stand in for Father Michael for most of our Masses. We are very grateful for their help.

Our Vigil and Sunday Masses will not change. However, there are some changes to our weekday services:

Masses will be held on Wednesday and Thursday mornings at the usual time of 9.30am.

Deacon Vince Barclay will conduct Communion Services on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday mornings at the usual Mass times.

The Holy Week and Easter liturgies will proceed as normal.

Second Rite of Reconciliation, Tuesday 4 April

The Second Rite will be conducted at Holy Trinity Church, Curtin, at 6pm.

A new Devotional book, Passion to Pentecost

Our parishioner, Raifiel Cyril, has written this Devotional, covering 100 days of reflections and prayers from the Sunday before Ash Wednesday to the feast of Pentecost.

Read about Raifiel and her book in the online version of Catholic Voice.

Father Michael invites you to consider using the book as a companion on your faith journey. It costs $25 and you can obtain a copy by emailing Raifiel on cjralive@gmail.com
