First Holy Communion in our Parish 2026

Registrations are now open for the 2026 Sacramental Program!

Registrations are made through the Qkr! App. You can find it in your app store or use this link on desktop: https://qkr-store.qkrschool.com/store/#/home. The Parish website has a how-to guide for those unfamiliar: https://stjjvwestoncreek.blogspot.com/p/qkr-how-when-where-and-why.html. You can make an account and search for “Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish”. A profile for your child can be made under ‘profiles’, and forms are under the heading ‘Parish’, and then ‘sacrament’. Please reach out if you have any trouble.
Starting in 2026, children in Year 4 will make their First Reconciliation, Year 5 their First Holy Communion, and Year 6 Confirmation. If for any reason your child missed making their First Holy Communion this year, they are invited to participate in a ‘catch up’ program for First Holy Communion in 2026. They can receive their sacrament following preparation in the First Holy Communion Mass.

2026 Important Dates!

Information Evening - Tuesday 24 March 2026, 5:30pm at St John Vianney Church

Come and meet Fr Loi and the Sacramental team, find out all you need to know about the program, ask questions, collect your activity books, sign up to lead and/or be a part of a small group.

4 x 1.5-hour preparation sessions weekly in small groups

e.g. Week of 28 April, 4 May, 11 May, 18 May

Dates, times and locations of these are flexible to your group. Small groups meet weekly for four weeks, completing one chapter of the activity book each week. More details available in information packs received at information evening. Preparation is completed and activity books are returned by Week 10 of Term 1.

Gathering Mass - 9am Sunday 31 May 2026 at St John Vianney Church

Join the parish community for a special welcoming Mass followed by Morning Tea.

Sacrament - Feast of Corpus Christi, 9am Sunday 7 June 2026 at St John Vianney Church

Re-Issue of Sacramental Certificates

We have records for Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage and Holy Orders as required by Canon Law. If you would like one of these Certificates, there is an admin charge of $15. We do not register the names of participants in First Reconciliation or First Eucharist. We have patchy records of those Sacramental programs, dating back to 2007, but they are not a guarantee that someone actually received the Sacrament. If you need evidence about participation in that Sacrament, we may be able to help you find whether someone was enrolled and when the Sacrament was celebrated, but we don’t have enough details to reissue a formal certificate.
