Five weeks to go until our first Sacramental Mass for the 2024 families!

Hello from Father Michael, Sister Kathleen, Deacon Vince, Danielle and the Parish Office!

Our first Sacramental Gathering Masses will be on 11 and 12 November

Our Sacramental families for 2024 will be coming to Mass on that weekend to officially start their journey. Let's save the date and come to show our support.

ForgivenFed and Fearless! Our Parish Sacramental Programmes for 2024 are now open for registrations

All three Sacramental Programmes have been launched and we've received our first registrations. Invitations for families at St Edmund's and Marist will go out shortly.

First Reconciliation is available to baptised Catholic children who will be in Year 3 or up in 2024.

First Eucharist is available to baptised Catholic children who have received First Reconciliation and will be in Year 4 or up in 2024.

Confirmation is available to baptised Catholic children who have receive First Reconciliation and First Eucharist and will be in Year 6 or up in 2024.

To register, start at the appropriate Sacramental tab on this page. Registration uses the Qkr! App by Mastercard.

If you have a family member who's eligible for their Sacrament, or you have friends with an eligible child, please let them know that registration is open. Be a messenger and carry the news!

There will be a Communion Service on Wednesday, 11 October

A Communion Service will be held at St John Vianney church at 9.30am. We regret that there are no priests available on that day to say Mass, so let us pray even harder for vocations to the priesthood and to consecrated life.

We're delighted to welcome Father Brannelly back home for Thurdsay morning's Mass.

Mark Ha will be ordained to the Diaconate on Friday, 3 November

Everyone is invited to celebrate this wonderful event at St Christopher's Cathedral at 5pm. RSVPs are required and there's an online facility on the Archdiocese website. Let's all pray for God's blessings on Mark and his family.

The Catenian Group is looking for your opinions

The Catenians are an international association of lay Catholics committed to faith, family and community service. The Archbishop has authorised the Catenians to conduct an online survey about what adult Catholics need to help them live a committed Catholic life in our modern society.

The survey is fully anonymous, simple, and should take about 10 minutes at the most. To help, go to the survey at:

www.surveymonkey.com/r/CLTZGMW

or you'll find a QR code in this week's bulletin.

The Marian Procession will be held on Sunday, 22 October, at the Goulburn Cathedral

The gathering starts at 10am and will bring our Catholic community together to honour our Blessed Mother and seek her intercession for our needs. It’s a multicultural family day of prayer and celebration.

“The Sign” Advent and Christmas Reflections

The parish will be offering this publication from the Wollongong Diocese for $5. Order your copy through Qkr! or put $5 in an envelope, with your name and the church from which you want to collect it, and put the envelope into a collection bag.

The St John Vianney School Fete will be on Saturday 1 November

If you have toys, books or other items you'd like to donate to the fete, please leave them at the SJV school office:

Mondays to Fridays, 9 - 4.30; or

Sunday, 8 October, 2 - 5.

Sorry, but they can't accept electrical goods for safety reasons.
