St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, pray for us!

Hello from Father Michael, Deacon Vince, Sister Kathleen, Danielle and the Parish Office!

The Solemnity of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop will be on Tuesday, 8 August

Mass to honour Australia's first canonised saint will be celebrated at 7am at St John Vianney Church.

The Solemnity of the Assumption will be on Tuesday 15 August

This is a Holy Day of Obligation and a day of joyful celebration. Masses will be at:

7am at St John Vianney Church

9.30am at St John Vianney Church

12.15pm at St Jude Church

The Confirmation Commitment Masses will be on the weekend of 19 and 20 August

Please come and support the children and their families as they take their final step before confirmation on Wednesday, 23 August.

It may be crowded and a bit noisy, but what would an empty church tell those families about our own commitment to the faith?

We are starting a new Parish Fundraising Committee!

Our parishioners Sheila McDowall and Alicia Brown are looking to put together a group to propose and develop ideas for fundraising and bringing the Parish community together.

They're looking for brainstormers, business minds, planners and other contributors to help to rebuild the Parish's financial stability and fellowship after the last few difficult years.

Sheila would love to hear from you on

Our first fundraising campaign has started

Father Michael has purchased a statue of Our Lady, to be displayed outside each church. We need to raise $15,000 for weatherproof and vandal-proof protection. Father would greatly appreciate your support.

You can donate during the Mass collections, using an envelope marked "Encasement Collection", or the Qkr! all now has a specific item for contributions.

Thank you from the Vinnies

Our Parish Conferences of the Vinnies would like to thank everyone who donated to the second round of the Winter Appeal, and to those who volunteered for the collection stall at Cooleman Court. They raised $5,049.20 in the two rounds of the appeal, which will go a long way to help those in need.
