Requiem Mass for Fr Troy Joseph Bobbin

It is with great sadness, we advise that Fr Troy Joseph Bobbin, Parish Priest of Holy Spirit Parish, Gungahlin, passed suddenly this week. 

The Requiem Mass for the repose of Fr Troy's soul will be held at 11.00am on Monday 13 July 2026 at Holy Spirit Parish, 93 Burdekin Ave, Amaroo.

Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish Assembly - Saturday 11 July at 10am 

at St Jude Primary School Hall, 49 Mulley Street, Holder.

Fr Loi warmly invites all members of our parish community - including our Catholic schools, ministries, and groups - to share in a special milestone in the life of the Parish. Our Parish Assembly is an expression of synodality, or ‘walking together’ on our pilgrim journey as a Church. Our local Assembly is a time to explore the opportunities for evangelisation and discern where the Holy Spirit is calling us in the areas of encounter, discipleship and mission. It’s a precious opportunity for your voice to be heard as we discern what matters most for our shared future.

 

COMMUNION SERVICE - 9.30 am Thursday 18 June

 A Communion Service will be held in place of Mass at 

9.30am on Thursday 18 June at St Jude Church, Holder. 

St John Vianney Church Closed - Monday 25 to Friday 29 May

 

St John Vianney Church, including the adoration chapel will be CLOSED from

Monday 25 May to Friday 29 May

for the installation of a new PA System.

The regular SJV Masses that week will be celebrated at St Jude Church, Holder.

That is: 7am Tuesday 26 May, 9.30am Wednesday 27 May and 7am Friday 28 May.

Existing meeting room bookings can proceed. 

 

COMMUNION SERVICES Tuesday 19 - Thursday 21 May

Due to the Archdiocesan Clergy Assembly,

Communion Services will be held in place of Holy Mass from Tuesday 19 May - Thursday 21 May inclusive.

Parish Christmas Party 2025 - Friday 5 December  - 5.30pm at St Jude’s School, Holder.

VIGIL MASS - SATURDAY 8 OCTOBER MOVED TO ST JOHN VIANNEY CHURCH

Please be advised that the Saturday Vigil Mass on Saturday 8 November will be celebrated at St John Vianney Church, Waramanga. 

This is due to a major event at St Jude Primary School that evening.

Communion Services in place of Weekday Masses - Tuesday 21 October to Friday 21 November

From Tuesday 21 October to Friday 21 November, weekday Masses in the Parish (including Saturday 8am) will be replaced with Liturgy of the Word and Communion Services. 

Weekend Masses will proceed as scheduled.

Vigil Mass - Saturday 4 October

The Vigil Mass on Saturday 4 October will be celebrated at St John Vianney Church 

This will allow St Alphonsa to use St Jude Church for their Feast Day Celebrations that weekend.
